Walls of Sound

A Soundwalk is an immersive, “hyper real” experience where the listener participates in an audio and visual journey as heard by the Soundwalk’s creators. “Walls of Sound” Soundwalks were recorded by youth attending Bodecker Foundation Summer 2021 workshops and were conceived in partnership with Portland Street Art Alliance and Third Angle New Music. Each of the five walks features a series of street art installations in Portland, Oregon – you will hear from some of the mural artists on your walk. For the best experience, use a pair of headphones and begin with the starting address on the maps provided. To learn more about the featured artists and their creative process be sure to check out their extended interviews on the Walls of Sound Podcast (coming soon!) wherever you get your podcasts.
