SHOOT FROM THE HIP (POCKET) is a fast and fun filmmaking workshop with writer/director Mark Palansky. Using your iPhone, you will learn the foundation of film-from script to screen.
Mark's Bio
Mark Palansky’s dynamic and evocative visual style has graced screens large and small. From his award-winning short The Same to memorable ads for top brands such as Fiat and Target to his critically acclaimed feature debut Penelope, starring Christina Ricci, James McAvoy, Reese Witherspoon, and Catherine O’Hara. Palansky’s work was next seen in the visual feast and hugely popular, Emmy-nominated Netflix showLEMONY SNICKET: A Series of UnfortunateEvents. His second feature, Rememory, starring Peter Dinklage, premiered at theSundance Film Festival and was bought and released by Lionsgate and Google the same year. Palansky has directed for WarnerBrothers/New Line, Paramount, MGM,Comedy Central, Netflix, Lionsgate, Disney and Dreamworks. Palansky currently has several projects in the works: from psychological thrillers to horror to adult animation to documentary to comedy.
