Overview

This collaborative workshop is designed for students with some previous songwriting experience. Each week students will be given a new writing prompt and will work in small, rotating groups to co-write and record songs with a common theme. Students will also share their personal work, bringing songs-in-progress to class for peer feedback that may help them to advance the song to the next level, explore what might be improved upon in terms of lyrical content or arrangement, and decide when a song is really “finished”.

Meets Mondays and Weds 4-5:30pm | February 22, 24, March 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17
