Join us from July 14 – July 17, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM each day for an engaging workshop on graphic design principles, led by artist Orion Cortez.
Throughout this free, four-day experience, you’ll explore the fundamentals of graphic design, from brainstorming original concepts to applying essential design principles. Get hands-on with accessible design tools and learn how to transform your ideas into visual compositions ready for print or digital use.

Orion's Bio
Orion Cortez is a Portland-based graphic designer who began his journey in the military, managing makerspaces and teaching design principles to high school students. He later transitioned into a full-time role at Stanford Children’s Health, focusing on community outreach and recruitment through graphic design, where he continued in healthcare design for three years. Afterward, Orion shifted to working with local Portland creatives, refining his design skills at Portland State University. Alongside his studies, he contributed to Pacmodo, a startup focused on communicating design through product development and video production.
