  • Rialenga

Carla Javier-Brea (she/her) also know as “Rialenga” is a multitalented artist from the Dominican Republic. Carla grew up in the Dominican countryside, and could be often found exploring farmlands on a horse from a young age. Her time wandering around el campo caused her to become intimate and fall in love with Dominican Folklore, superstition, and storytelling. Rialenga’s art practice resorts to Printmaking, Painting, Illustration, Sculpture, and occasionally film photography to summon these narratives.
