Overview

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work for a company like Apple, Google, Nike, Louis
Vuitton, Hulu or Beats creating content in all the most relevant and contemporary forms of media? In
this 2 1/2 week workshop, you’ll learn about the career path of a Creative Director from industry
experts Gary Goldsmith and Z Gevorkian. Gary and Z will share examples of some of the most exciting ad
work being produced around the world today and will lead discussions about what makes this work rise
above the competition. They’ll answer your questions about what it’s like to be a Creative Director on a
day-to-day basis. And they’ll give you assignments that will let you experience the joys (and difficulties)
of coming up with great ideas, as well as teach you the skills to quickly execute those ideas as you begin
to build a portfolio. You’ll work on some projects alone and some as part of a team, and you’ll participate
in discussions about your peers’ work with the intent of helping them make it better. Because after all,
that’s one of the most important things Creative Directors do.

Upon completion of this workshop, a digital badge in “Introduction to Creative Direction” is issued by ArtCenter College of Design recognizing your course completion. Issued through the Credly Credential Network, you can display this badge with honor on your website, college applications, and portfolio.
